You pay the plan price or your usage, whichever is higher.

2. Pay for your pipelines, not our machines

Dagger bills only the resources that your pipeline uses. You do not pay for reserved capacity or idle time. Other providers bill the full machine for the full duration of each job, regardless of how much you actually use.

Pipeline CPUNew work price: 0.5¢ / CPU-min

Exact CPU time used by your pipeline, measured from Linux cgroups cpu.stat.

Pipeline memoryNew work price: 0.5¢ / GB-min

Actual memory used by your pipeline, sampled every second from Linux cgroups memory.current.

Pipeline inputsNew work price: 2.5¢ / GB

Data that your pipelines pull in: git objects, container images, HTTP fetches, local file uploads, container ingress.

Pipeline outputsNew work price: 10¢ / GB

Data that your pipelines push out: container images, container egress.

3. Repeat work is 5× cheaper

You pay 5× less for operations that could be served from cache, whether or not they actually are. This rewards you for optimizing your pipelines, and rewards us for accelerating them. Other providers earn less as your pipeline gets faster.

Pipeline CPU (repeat work)Repeat work price: 0.1¢ / CPU-min instead of the new work price 0.5¢ / CPU-min
Pipeline memory (repeat work)Repeat work price: 0.1¢ / GB-min instead of the new work price 0.5¢ / GB-min
Pipeline inputs (repeat work)Repeat work price: 0.5¢ / GB instead of the new work price 2.5¢ / GB
Pipeline outputs (repeat work)Repeat work price: 2¢ / GB instead of the new work price 10¢ / GB

An operation is repeat work if it has the same inputs as one that you ran in the last 30 days.

4. Estimate your bill

Set your monthly usage, or start from a real-world example. The examples show the measured September 2026 usage of Dagger Cloud customers.

5. Compare with your current CI

Your current CI bills each runner for the full duration of each run. Describe your CI to compare its bill with the Dagger bill from step 4.

The price is a typical hosted rate for this runner size. You can change it. In the examples, the CI setup is an estimate.
