What a week! To say that we can back more motivated than ever would be an understatement.

Thanks to Daggernaut Vincent Behar, we kicked off our time in Paris at the Ubisoft Office for the Dagger Paris Meetup. Over 50 Daggernauts attended, and we jumped right back into the good ol’ days of pizza and coding. We started with the Dagger quickstart and then jumped into building modules together. In the end, we had 10 module demos that I am very excited to share with you soon!

On Tuesday morning, Dagger’s Marcos Lilljedahl and Diagrid’s Mauricio Salatino kicked off AppDeveloperCon with the day’s first presentation: “building polyglot developer experiences in 2024.”

The enthusiasm for learning about Dagger was truly astounding. People lined up at the Dagger booth, having heard about Dagger from friends or seen a presentation that featured Dagger. We heard over and over again how excited people were about the new Dagger Modules capabilities and the promise of the Daggerverse! It was awesome to see people’s faces light up when they saw their favorite modules being used, or learning how easy it was to create their own.

The booth was packed from opening to close, and we know we weren’t able to give demos to everyone who patiently lined up at our booth, so if you didn’t get a chance to receive a demo, please schedule some time with us. We’d be happy to meet with you to learn more about your use case!

On Thursday, we co-hosted a community happy hour with Dragonfly and Scraf. We had a great time meeting many of you there, and I was excited to hear that quite a few people were already using Dagger!

After that, we made our way over to the Open-Source AI meetup where Solomon did a Dagger AI demo and Luke Marsden showcased how HelixML uses Dagger under the hood. You can check out all of the demos here

Finally, we closed out the show with Solomon’s keynote that captured the hearts of the audience. He described the 10-year journey that started in his mom’s basement and reminded us about the importance of the community coming together to change an industry.

If you didn’t get a chance to watch it, I highly recommend watching the recording below:

As Solomon mentions in the keynote, “It is all about the people”. We couldn’t have accomplished what we did without all of the feedback and support that the Dagger community has provided in the last few months.

We look forward to seeing what the new Daggernauts build, and I am excited to see everyone’s Dagger journey updates in Discord!

Until next time,
