There is something so magical about seeing humans in person. Personally, it was my first in-person event since that whole thing that happened around 2020.

It was amazing to meet so many new faces, and finally meet some of our Daggernauts in the flesh as well.

All of the fun began before the KubeCon week even started! Jeremy Adams presented with community rockstar, Márk Sági-Kazár at the Cloud Native Rejekts. They presented how to future-proof your platform’s CI/CD without developers noticing a thing (except unicorns and rainbows)

Then, Kyle Penfound presented “ Run Your CI in Code, Not YAML” at the AppDeveloperCon, and asked a fundamental question: “ What emoji face does [the idea of] CI spark in your brain?”.

Once the show floor opened, we were blown away by the community’s response to Dagger. Our booth was busy at almost all times, and we had great conversations with people who were in the thick of their CI/CD transformations.

It was great to see people’s eyes light up when we showed them what  Dagger could do, whether enabling them to test their code instantly and locally, or being able to program their pipelines in any language of their choosing.

While conversations were being had, we had some impromptu module hacking sessions at the nearby lunch tables with some motivated Daggernauts! (Not sure what Dagger modules are? Come to our Discord server, and check out the Project Zenith channel ;) )

Then, we went to the Docker Reunion we hosted together with the Okteto team. While enjoying some drinks, our team casually got the opportunity to demo Dagger for Kelsey Hightower and give him some insight into what we are launching soon (hint - it’s modules!). He gave us some awesome feedback.

We ended the show with a long list of follow-up conversations and welcomed many new Daggernauts into our Discord community.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by our booth, and discussing the pain points that you have with your current pipelines. It’s clear that there is a need for a tool that can truly transform the way that we build and manage CI/CD pipelines, and the Dagger team is up for the challenge. We look forward to seeing you all again at KubeCon EU and KubeCon NA 2024!

Until then, I’ll see you on Discord!

P.S. If you misplaced your code for $100 credit to Dagger cloud, or we forgot to give you one, DM me on Discord (mirandacarter) and I’ll send you a new one.
