Dagger successfully completed SOC 2 audit

We’re pleased to announce that we have achieved our SOC 2 Type II certification. Dagger helps teams of all sizes reduce complexity, save time, and lower infrastructure cost on their CI/CD pipelines. Over the past year we’ve seen more and more early adopters at large organizations approach Dagger with precisely the type of problems that we set out to solve. Understandably any change to a core part of the software delivery process can come with a degree of scrutiny from the security and compliance teams. That is why we’re excited to formally take this next step in our journey and demonstrate our commitment to privacy, security and operational excellence.
SOC 2 Type II is a rigorous certification that involves a comprehensive audit by an independent third-party auditor. This audit focuses on organizational controls in five key areas: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy. At the end of last year we kicked off a project to validate that all of our processes meet the requirements of this certification. We worked with an independent third party auditor to complete our initial audit and were happy to see our initial report had zero noted exceptions.
As a part of this process we partnered with Vanta to build the foundation for automating our internal compliance program and ensure that we have a process of continuous testing in place to maintain ongoing compliance. In addition, we implemented a self-service trust center that our current and future customers can use to understand our security controls and policies.

We’re happy to reach this milestone, but this is just the beginning. Thanks to this certification we now have a CISO function through a partnership with Barr Advisory. Now that we have built this foundation, we’re making a commitment to all of our customers to take the necessary steps to always provide secure and reliable software. We’re grateful for everyone who has trusted us so far with the most important parts of their software delivery pipeline and continuing to drive significant value to an ever greater set of organizations.
