Official modules

The Dagger team now maintains a catalog of official modules. Dagger detects your toolchains and recommends official modules for them. Each module integrates Dagger with a common tool, for example Go, pytest, ESLint or Playwright. Install a module, and you can use its checks immediately. You do not need to write a module yourself.

To find a module, run dagger module search. To get recommendations, run dagger module recommend. Dagger examines your repository for files such as go.mod, pyproject.toml or vitest.config.ts, and recommends the modules that match. You select the modules, and Dagger installs them.

Official modules have short addresses, for example dagger.io/go. You can also give your own modules short addresses on your own domain.
